About Alan Gentry
Alan Gentry has been engaged by Private and Public sector clients and
National agencies on an impressive variety of projects over the past two
decades, in this Country.
He has brought his specialist knowledge of and expertise in sympathetic
restoration of historic buildings to both large scale conversion – some
projects requiring years of input – and short-term remedial works.
Alan prides himself on an approach which conserves
the historic fabric of heritage buildings with as little intervention as
possible.
His methods, though innovative and
creative, remain true to the tenet of preservation – conserve as found
using methods which are reversible.
Based in Cowes, Isle of Wight, his expertise is
being applied to some of the Country’s rich stock of historically
significant properties.
Alan retains links with Norwich, where he
was in practice for several years before relocating to the Isle of
Wight.
All work undertaken is handled with skill, sensitivity and expertise.
Alan’s company has made a full commitment to design practices and his
office is fully supported with computer analysis and computer aided
draughting.
It operates an effective quality system, modelled on BS ISO 9001 and
meets all regulatory requirements.
The company charges for a quality engineering
hour.
